The Quilt Connection        Murfreesboro, Tennessee

This month I had a chance to visit Tennessee.  I found an old-fashioned Quilt Shop in Murfreesboro.  The shop front hides the older building that the shop is really in.  It is a small shop with the old wooden floor, but it is packed with fabrics and patterns.  The shop has a wide variety of fabrics and local patterns.  I found some Richard Scary fabric I have been looking for, so I was glad to get that for a special project I’m working on.

The shop owner, Margaret, was at the front cutting board; she was welcoming and chatty.  She had been commissioned to create a Tennessee State flag quilt that hangs in the Freedom Center in Nashville.  She has pictures of the beautiful quilt she created or you can visit her quilt in Nashville.  You can look over more of the Quilt Connection at their website: http://www.quiltconnectionshop.com
